GENERAL SUMMARY

ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  1. Ensure all engineering changes made to products are correctly priced and submitted to the customer on a timely basis by utilizing the internal systems and procedures in place for communicating changes – Project Information Requests (PIRs). Summary review with Sales Manager or Director is necessary for all pricing establishment / revisions for customer submission.
  2. Meet with customer on a regular basis to review pricing and design changes submitted to ensure customer confirmation/approval of pricing.
  3. Manage other areas of the account such as payments or follow-up on past due receivables. Negotiate with the customer as needed to resolve any open financial issues (could be freight, packaging, returned shipments for non-conforming goods). This negotiation should be subject to moderate input from the responsible Sales Manager or Director.
  4. Respond to internal information requests related to account such as forecasts of customer demand for products and provide updates to forecast as needed. Provide financial status of accounts, pricing, tooling, etc. to upper management.  Maintain customer contact lists and foster key customer contact relationships.  Communicate customer engineering and purchasing policies to company with regard to account responsibility.
  5. Expansion business opportunities – Pursue new business opportunities as identified in the approved global business bid list. In case of new opportunities, a SBR should be created and presented to the appropriate Sales Manager or Director for consideration of pursuit. Give customer presentations for new and existing projects/products, tech. reviews, respond to requests for quotations.
  6. Communicates frequently with engineering, sales, cost estimators, customers, and managers to ensure current status relative to pricing, design, program issues, part issues, contract terms and conditions, and all other customer issues.
  7. Provide appropriate customer information to support the annual and mid term sales planning process.
  8. Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

The incumbent must:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. • Follows production drawings, sample assemblies and verbal instructions with minimum supervision. Understands and applies established acceptable workmanship practices to all facets of electronic assembly. • Interprets and works from electromechanical schematics, drawings, work instructions and bills of material to understand the required parts and steps needed to complete the assigned assembly. • Reads worksheets and wiring diagrams, selects components, such as transistors, resistors, relays, capacitors, and integrated circuits. • Mounts complex assembled components, such as transformers, resistors, transistors, capacitors, integrated circuits, and sockets, on chassis panel, requiring manual dexterity and the ability to work with hand tools, soldering equipment, volt meters and other related test instrumentation.     Purpose

    The general scope of this position is to support the maintenance team in the repair/maintenance of company equipment and increase production efficiency. Production team members are the backbone of our company's success, and maintenance is the customer service group that supports the production team.

    Responsibilities
    • Ability to assist in breakdowns and repairs including pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical applications as needed.

    SUMMARY
    Functions as a business partner with plant management to effectively manage and control the local business. Lead the financial staff at the plant and be accountable for plant level responsibilities including financial reporting, budgeting, accounts payables, accounts receivable, billings, fixed assets, cost accounting, business analysis, and plant operations. Will also liaison with corporate/HQ financial staff, as required. 

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Managing and directing the day-to-day activity of the Finance department personnel in the performance of their duties, including the processing of all billing, accounts payable, standard cost, inventory, tooling, fixed asset, and other production activities associated with an accounting organization
    • Mentoring and assessing the performance of the accounting department's staff, including all performance evaluations, hiring, coaching, and disciplinary action activities
    • Developing and ensuring all accounting activities and reporting of financial information follow established processes and procedures, and in compliance with GAAP standards and HQ policy
    • Lead role in the month-end closing process for assigned plant manufacturing locations, to meet timely and accurate monthly closing
    • Timely and accurately report the current monthly and annual financial results to the plant, sales, and corporate /HQ management in accordance with corporate /HQ formats and time requirements, and analyze the variance between actual and budget/forecast and provide insights
    • Ability to lead and deliver comprehensive annual budget data and refresh monthly forecasts throughout the year
    • Attend daily plant production meetings and weekly PDCA meetings, provide financial support and insights
    • Coordinate with the operations departments to provide a weekly flash report to help the local team to achieve monthly performance
    • Provide financial analyses as needed, in particular for capital investments, new program, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations etc.
    • Document and understand ERP/MRP (PLEX) systems and reporting conventions
    • Preparation of all local statutory and tax filings in coordination with the corporate/HQ Tax and Treasury as appropriate
    • Complete and oversee all audit reporting requirements

    KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
    • Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance
    • 5 to 7 years of accounting or costing experience; preferably in an Automotive Manufacturing environment
    • 2+ years of experience in a management role
