Performs supervisory functions in an electro-mechanical environment while providing support to manufacturing engineering, test engineering and quality engineering. Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new or special assignments. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected to determine methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Providing leadership, guidance, and work schedule direction for subordinate personnel, furnishing them with general instructions as to the scope and objectives of assignments. Makes work assignments based on individual capabilities and fluctuations in work load and priorities.
Applying theories, concepts, and principles of analysis gained through practical experience, and lengthy association with technical persons and educational experiences.
Preparation of procedures, reports, OJT forms
Daily availability to include evenings and weekends when necessary to reach goals and deadlines.
This job has supervisory responsibilities for technical and assembly personell of up to 50 persons with support of lead functions. This includes, but is not limited to training employees, planning, assigning, directing work and resolving technically related work problems.
