SUMMARY

 

Responsible to manage all aspects of materials flow and to maintain control and accuracy over all  goods inventories, including all transactions, procurement, planning, scheduling, cost, warehouse, receiving, and shipping to ensure that customer orders are fulfilled on time. This position is also responsible to develop and manage all supplier relationships.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

·                 Manage and direct overall material utilization, ordering, scheduling, and customer relation activities

·                 Oversee activity to ensure ASN transmittal, Inventory control of WIP and finished goods, and cycle counts are maintained at appropriate levels and timeliness.

·                 Direct and control the ordering of materials, components, packaging, and skids to ensure adequate inventory levels to cover current customer releases.

·                 Communicate with customers concerning potential shipment issues and shipment dates.

·                 Interact and make adjustments as needed with the plant and outside services.

·                 Ensure effective employee relations, thru employee coaching and development. 

·                 Resolve employee issues by effective problem resolution.

·                 Responsible for other duties or special projects as assigned.

 

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or other related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of management/supervisory experience
  • Minimum 5 years of automotive manufacturing experience
  • Strong ability to motivate and act as a change agent.

·        Detailed oriented with excellent oral and written communication skills

·        Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access

·        Maintain and follow all training requirements

·        Able to work different hours and shifts as needed

·        Maintain a clean and safe work area

·        Use required safety equipment

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

 

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
