Engineering/Maintenance Manager IBU Wanted at Marelli

Position is responsible for the Manufacturing Engineering Section of Engineering. Perform the normal activities of Manufacturing support to include scrap reduction, equipment repair, productivity, business planning, quotations, process and tooling development.
  • Will work with directly with new customer-Honda
  • First 12 months, reporting location would be Lewisburg, TN then transfer to OH
  • Manager would be responsible for Process Engineering, Quality Standards, and Maintenance
Essential Accountabilities
  • Work with customers on new model and current production concerns.
  • Coordinate with manufacturing to reduce scrap, improve productivity, and repair equipment downtime issues.
  • Troubleshoot part quality issues during pre-production activities.
  • Troubleshoot issues with current production parts.
  • Interface with customer and supplier on scrap reduction issues.
  • First run and scrap tracking and reduction.
  • Interface with design for new product quotation and Design changes.
  • Assist in breaking down barriers that are preventing an ME from achieving their objective.
  • Meet with & review schedules with other departments on status (information sharing) to achieve company targets & goals.
  • Communicates frequently with internal contacts and occasionally with external contacts on various issues.
  • Prepares the Engineering Business Plan, Expense Budgeting, Engineering Assignments and manages engineering resources.
  • Monitors development costs and assures Manufacturing cost meet the quoted targets.
  • Approves Engineering equipment specifications and prepares and manages the Capital Budget for equipment purchases.
  • Provides training for all team members.
  • Leads Manufacturing Improvement Teams to meet business plan targets.
  • Performs other duties as necessary.

The Incumbent Must
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Have a high school diploma or GED.
  • Have a Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline and generally five plus years experience in a related field
  • -or-
  • An advanced degree and generally four plus years experience in a related field.
  • Certification may be required in some areas.
  • Have experience working with integrated computer programs and/or applications.
  • Have strong communication, administrative and organizational skills, and the ability to coordinate multiple projects and programs.
  • Be able to pass all background checks and pre-employment tests, including any required drug test.
  • Be able to maintain the confidentiality of any information s/he encounters.
