Human Resources Generalist - Provisional Assignment for 4-5 Months Wanted at Marelli

Apply Online HereThis position supports the Human Resources Department by undertaking responsibility for various complex and routine administrative, technical and professional HR functions to ensure stable employee relations and a safe and secure work environment. Responsibilities may include direct or indirect management of one or more specific HR Functions in a business unit, preparation of complex information, supervising general administration activity and assisting our employees with the administration of all fringe benefits & programs using considerable discretion in the performance of duties and the handling of confidential information.

Essential Accountabilities
  • Participates in conflict management, concern resolution, and investigations. Also leads performance management and corrective actions.
  • Supports employee involvement and recognition activities and events such as Red Cross Blood Drives, United Way, United Givers Fund and March of Dimes and Employee Advisory Committee meetings.
  • Facilitate positive employee relations activities.
  • Assists with HR Policy Development and administration, including enforcement, education, and interpretation to ensure fair and consistent employee treatment.
  • Coordinating job bidding and transfers, including interviews.
  • Maintain employee files, records and correspondence in compliance with company policies, and state and federal laws and regulations. Responsible for temporary staffing utilization and workforce stability.
  • Producing required requested and monthly reports as needed.
  • Conduct recruiting, new hire orientation, exit interviews and handle issues and conduct investigations of personnel issues. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and state and federal laws and regulations within the restraints of annual training and education budgets.
  • Communicates frequently with internal and occasionally with external contacts on various issues.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

The Incumbent Must
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Have a high school diploma or GED.
  • Have a Bachelor’s Degree in related discipline and generally two to five years experience in related field

  • A Master’s Degree and generally two to four years experience in related field.
  • Certification may be required in some areas.
  • Have experience working with integrated computer programs and/or applications.
  • Have HRIS experience, strong conflict management, analytical, and negotiation skills.
  • Have strong problem-solving, administrative and organizational skills, and the ability to coordinate multiple projects and programs.
  • Be able to pass all background checks and pre-employment tests, including any required drug test.
  • Be able to maintain the confidentiality of any information s/he encounters.

Specialized Skills And Knowledge Required
  • Intermediate to advanced experience (beyond basic data entry) working with computer applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and other presentation applications and/or software.
