Position Summary
  Performs key responsibilities and is accountable to ensure that the Human Resources department is run in an efficient and effective manner. Essential Duties & Responsibilities • Assists in the New Hire Process i.e.: arrange and mark tests interviews, reference verification, orientation and Pre-Placement Medical, communicating Letter of Offer and prepares Regret Letters. • Liaise with external recruitment sources i.e.: Job Boards and Agencies. • Benefits Administration and may perform transactions to support payroll processing • Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefits laws and regulations • Insures HR tools and practices are applied consistently across the Division. • Provide consultation and support with regards to employee relations issues including counseling, outplacement counseling and exit interviewing. • Supports the organization to promote overall employee engagement. (survey, Committees) • Maintains various databases related to employee information and issues Employee security passes • Plan & Coordinate employee social activities/events. • Preparation and communication of Agenda and minutes for employee meetings and as • necessary, Health & Safety meetings and working with cross-functional teams • Administration and notification of employee performance appraisal process. • Support communication vehicles throughout the Division / Group Office. • Performs all work in compliance with the Divisions Health, Safety policies and procedures as well as all federal, State and local laws; promptly report any hazardous condition or workplace injury. • Adheres to the guidelines as outlined in the Employee Handbook. • Adhere to and ensure all in the department operate in compliance with legislative requirements of TS16949 and ISO14001 standards. • Other duties and tasks as assigned. Qualifications • Post Secondary accreditation in Human Resources preferred. • Minimum 2 years experience in a Human Resources role. • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills. • High self motivated and flexible. • Must be capable of working under pressure with short completion times on projects and of working flexible hours in order to meet both internal and external customer requirements. • Must be highly organized, high computer proficiency in MSOffice • Ability to work independently and under limited daily supervision. • Previous experience with HRIS an asset. • Sound knowledge of relevant employment legislation including Occupational Health & Safety.
