General Summary

Responsible for coordinating New Product Launch/Change activities and maintaining proper documentation (PIRs, Item Master, BOMs, ERAs, Drawings, etc.). Position updates line layouts, plant layouts, future plant layouts and contact contractors. Also works with manufacturing Engineering Department and Kaizen Department to identify cost savings, complete tooling, equipment and component part drawings (including machine drawings for Maintenance Department).

Essential Accountabilities

Track and maintain all Project Information Requests.

Process all BCRs (Bill of Materials Change Requests).

Structure all BOMs.

Assist w/Centra Program (ERA, Drawings, etc)

Maintain all Prototype Orders/Inventory.

Control Inventory and Kit parts for prototype builds.

Maintain all documentation for prototypes.

Update line layouts for equipment moves and plan new line installments.

Develop building layouts for future planning.

Assist Manufacturing Engineers in developing line rearrangement concepts for cost reduction activities.

Complete tooling and equipment component drawing for Manufacturing Engineering and Maintenance Departments.

Transfer hand drawings to CAD for machine rebuild.

Update Item Master when necessary (i.e. revisions, model #s, descriptions, etc).

Prepare shipping documents for prototype shipments.

Functions in a lead capacity over others but is not a direct supervisor. May assign, schedule and monitor the work of others.

Communicates frequently with internal contacts and occasionally with external contacts on various issues.

Performs other duties as necessary.

This work is performed in a general manufacturing environment.

The Incumbent Must


Have a high school diploma or GED.

Have one to two years vocational technical training or an Associate’s Degree in related discipline with up to two years experience in related area of responsibility.


If do not meet above education requirements, must have minimum of four years experience in related area of responsibility.

Have experience working with integrated computer programs and/or applications.

Have strong communication, administrative and organizational skills, and the ability to coordinate multiple projects and programs.

Be able to pass all background checks and pre-employment tests, including any required drug test.

Be able to maintain the confidentiality of any information s/he encounters.

Specialized Skills And Knowledge Required

Intermediate to advanced experience (beyond basic data entry) working with computer applications such as Word, Excel, Lotus Notes, PowerPoint, and other presentation applications and/or software.
