City of Lewisburg - City Recorder/Human Resources Representative, Lewisburg, TN (Pop. 12,288). The City Recorder is an appointed position by the City Council and is responsible for a broad range of administrative and support services. The position is under the general administrative supervision of the City Manager and is evaluated by the City Council and the City Manager. The position will prepare agendas and attend governing body meetings, keep minutes, and maintain records of the proceedings of such meetings. The position is responsible for drafting resolutions and ordinances for consideration by the governing body. The position will assist the City Manager with complex and specialized administrative tasks including reviewing job applications from respective employees, managing, and overseeing employee records as well as other human resource related tasks. Position handles sensitive and confidential information and must adhere to all labor laws and privacy requirements.
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent with an associate degree preferred and three years of office experience, with at least one year in human resources. Candidates will be required to obtain State of Tennessee Municipal Clerk and Recorder Certification within 3 years of hire date.
